Quetzaltenango, Almalonga, and Zunil

This weekend I got to travel to the second largest city in Guatemala; Quetzaltenango. It was definately a bit of a shock to be in 'city life'- which included visiting a mall and a movie in a real theater (we watched Hotel for Dogs- in Spanish). My favorite part of the whole trip was visiting two famous villiages outside of Xela... Almalonga and Zunil. These pueblos are infamous for their gigantic vegetables. The pictures will do the job of explaining themselves, but to say the least the market was the most colorful experience of my life to date! Enjoy the photos!
