Here are a few pictures from the first Sunday in Lent... it was the first of many processions that the Catholic Church does around the city for Semana Santa.

my first experience with "elote loco"...i couldn't be a true Iowan and not try it, but it was pretty gross: corn on the cob on a stick, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and parmesan. apparantly a classic snack here!

and these are beans that have been left out in the sun to dry...before the best seeds are then selected and roasted into coffee!
